IRSN becomes ASNR

On January 1, 2025, the French Institute for Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN) merged with the French Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN) to create the French Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ASNR - Autorité de Sûreté Nucléaire et de Radioprotection).

ASNR has taken over IRSN's missions, and as such is now the coordinator of the PIANOFORTE project.

ABOUT

PIANOFORTE research partnership aims to improve knowledge and promote innovation in the field of radiation protection for the benefit of better protection of the public, patients, workers and the environment in all scenarios of exposure to ionizing radiation.

FUNDING

This partnership has received funding from the European Union’s “EURATOM” research and innovation program under the 101061037 grant agreement.
