Competence building
IntroductionProfessionals and researchers working with ionizing radiation need to have adequate and appropriate qualifications and competences in radiation protection to ensure the safe use of ionizing radiation in industry, healthcare and research. A competence can be defined as the proven ability to use knowledge, skills and personal, social and/or methodological abilities, in work or study situations and in professional and personal development. Competences are acquired through a learning pathway including many education and training activities, to which PIANOFORTE and the networks associated with MEENAS offer their support.
This webpage provides an oversight of current actions and initiatives to maintain existing and developing new competences in radiation protection in order to give them a sustainable character.
